A Surprise Engagement Session in Rochester, MN at Quarry Hill
A few weeks before this session, I received a top-secret call from bride-to-be Katherine’s mom. She wanted to gift her daughter with an engagement gift that would last a lifetime. The twist? Her daughter wasn’t engaged yet! I was let in on the secret Katherine and her boyfriend John were traveling to Minnesota for the weekend and that John was planning to propose to Katherine that weekend. She booked an engagement session in Rochester, MN with me for her daughter and her daughter’s soon-to-be fiance, John. She wanted to be sure that the excitement of the engagement was captured as soon as possible. We scheduled their session for the night after John proposed and oh my goodness was it sweet!
The ‘newness’, the excitement, the anticipation of their engagement was alive and well and it was so fun to photograph it.
We had the best time hiking around Quarry Hill and naturally photographing the two of them together. Katherine’s family came along for support and had the two of them laughing through their session. Thank you John and Katherine for letting me be part of this first step into your future and for making my job so easy! Your love for each other is clearly so effortless. Congratulations, I can’t wait to photograph your upcoming wedding at Mayowood Stone Barn!
