The setting for Olivia and Charlie's summer wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. Olivia’s family’s home, nestled right on Lake Minnetonka, has such a timeless charm and was the backdrop of their day. The beautiful stone gazebo overlooking the lake, which has been a fixture on the property for decades, served as the backdrop for their ceremony and a clear-top tent sat along the water's edge for their reception. 


I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many beautiful weddings, but there’s something truly special about photographing a couple when you already know the family. That’s exactly how I felt when I returned to Lake Minnetonka for Charlie and Olivia’s gorgeous celebration, a year after capturing Olivia’s sister’s wedding.





The day was a true reflection of Olivia and Charlie’s vibrant personalities, filled with color, style, and fun. From the floral arrangements by Arts and Flowers to the meticulous planning by Premier Planning Services, every detail was carefully curated to create a seamless experience for the couple and their guests. The color palette was bright and cheerful, with hues of pinks, reds, yellows and oranges popping against the lush greenery and sparkling water. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was a true celebration and party!

The reception was set under a stunning clear-top tent, which allowed the evening sky and twinkling stars to add an extra layer of magic to the atmosphere. As the sun set over the lake, the lighting inside the tent reflected the warm glow of the candles, creating a romantic and elegant ambiance.

For me, this wedding was about more than just beautiful photos. It was about capturing a day that was brimming with love, family, history, and joy. I’m so grateful to have been a part of Charlie and Olivia’s unforgettable celebration.
